Nano Mister Vs Lash Bonder: Which One is Best For Lash Extensions

Should you use a nano mister for eyelash extensions? Why do lash techs use mist? What is an eyelash super bonder? Are bonder and sealant the same thing? You're already here because you want to know the answer to these questions. I guess what that means is—you care about your craft and do your research! I don't blame you, though. There's a lot of lash information out there about Nano Misters, Super Bonder and the difference between the two. Especially if you're a beginner lash technician, it might be challenging to know where to begin with everything. Today, I want to help clear up this whole mess for you (and in laymen's terms) hence that, as a lash technician, you can proceed with confidence. Lashes, Velour Lash Adhesive, Incredible Retention Primer, Super Bonder, and Hydro-Gel Under Eye Patches are used on these sets. To shop, please click here.   New to lash photo editing? We've got you covered with our Free Lash Editing Tutorial. Click here to learn more!   So many lash techs ask me which one they should be using. To comprehend what these products do and how to utilize them effectively, I figured discussing them would be a good idea. Let's get started! YY Lashes, Velour Lash Adhesive Sample, Super Bonder, and Incredible Retention Primer are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   WHAT IS NANO MISTER? You may have heard of lash extensions causing eye irritations because of the chemical used in the glue. A nano-mister is used to mist water across the extension. Additionally, it feels good. A nano mister initiates the glue's curing process; the adhesive needs time to finish curing. Lashes, Velour Lash Adhesive, Incredible Retention Primer, and Hydro-Gel Under Eye Patches are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   TO USE:  Use only distilled water, and a super bonder may also be used. Avoid shock polymerization unless you like the eyelashes to be completely white and icy. A 15ml water storage unit can be refilled after around 7 to 8 uses (depending on the type of your nano mister) At least 15 inches should distance you from the client's face.   For more tips like this one be sure to subscribe to our email list, we send very informative and helpful emails every week, please click here.   WHAT IS EYELASH BONDER? Bonder, Bonder, Bonder – whether you are a beginner or an experienced lash artist, it doesn't matter because we all want our client's lashes to last as long as possible. The super bonder's role is to increase the adhesive's elasticity, improving the bonds' flexibility and retention. It quickly polymerizes the glue without shock curing. When the adhesive fumes are sealed, irritations and sensitivities are much diminished. Scented Super Bonder is used here. To shop, please click here.   Utilizing cyanoacrylate, the lash bonder starts the curing process inside, driving dampness out and producing a tighter bond. Super Bonder seals the adhesive's porous surface, keeping any adhesive fumes contained within the adhesive bond while the water curing evaporates from it. The bonder is designed to cure the lash adhesive quickly! The bonder cures the bond from the outside to the inside, unlike the mister who initiates the curation process. A client will feel no to little discomfort from fumes because of this quick process. The lash bonder can be used with all lash extensions: classic, volume, mega volume and hybrid. Mega Volume Lashes, Velour Lash Adhesive and Super Bonder are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   TO USE: Wait two minutes before using the Super Bonder after the last lash application. On a microfiber brush, add 2 drops. Never soak. The brush shouldn't be completely submerged in the bonder but just damp. Wipe adhesive bonding areas. Give it two minutes to dry. (No need to use nano misters or nebulizers after)   Ultra Crystal Bond, Super Bonder and Coloured Agate Stone used here. To shop, please click here.   Lashes, Elite High Humidity Adhesive and Super Bonder used in this set. To shop, please click here.   Volume Lashes mix curls D, CC, and C, Velour Lash Adhesive, and Super Bonder are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   Lashes, Straight Isolation Tweezer, Optite Low Humidity Adhesive and Super Bonder are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   Lashes, Velour Adhesive, Straight Isolation Tweezer, Large Tip Boot Lash Tweezer, Incredible Retention Primer and Super Bonder used in this set. To shop, please click here.   Thinking about our Super Bonder but not sure yet? Start with a sample size! Click here to shop now.   For more tips like this one be sure to subscribe to our email list, we send very informative and helpful emails every week, please click here.   IF YOU USE TOO MUCH BONDER, WHAT HAPPENS? Super bonder, a liquid that provides a stronghold, is essential for lash extensions. The bond will weaken if you use too much bonder, though. Your glue will cure swiftly without a bonder in extremely high humidity (over 78 percent). Thus adding one would be equivalent to applying too much product. Lashes, Velour Lash Adhesive, Incredible Retention Primer, Super Bonder, and Disposable Micro Swabs are used on these sets. To shop, please click here.     TIP: You can achieve maximum retention when paired with an incredible retention primer.   Now that you are aware of the difference between these two, let's quickly review them to help you make your decision: LASH BONDER NANO MISTER No to very little irritation, decreases fumes Comforting feeling to the client Cure the adhesive immediately from the outside to the inside Accelerate cure time but more on the outside only Swaps out nano mister or nebulizer  Super bonder can be added to the nano mister   Choosing the right tool depends on what you value most for your lash services: Go for the Lash Bonder if: You want a robust tool that cures lash adhesives deeply and reduces the chance of irritation, making it ideal for clients prone to sensitivities. Choose the Nano Mister if: You prioritize client comfort during the procedure and need a tool that speeds up the curing process, although it primarily works on the outer layer.   For more tips like this one be sure to subscribe to our email list, we send very informative and helpful emails every week, please click here.   ARE BONDER AND SEALANT THE SAME THING? If you've ever wondered if these two terms are different, you're not alone. Bonder and sealant are interchangeable terms, except for one important distinction: Super bonder has a firmer bind, which reduces flexibility at the adhesive bonding areas and blocks glue fumes. Lashes, Velour Lash Adhesive, Incredible Retention Primer and Super Bonder are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   For more tips like this one be sure to subscribe to our email list, we send very informative and helpful emails every week, please click here.   CONCLUSION When comparing a nano mister vs a super bonder, it can be beneficial to look over the potential pros and cons. Even though they initially seem similar, there are notable differences between them that should impact how you approach using them.  There is no right or wrong in the end answer to this topic. Many lash techs choose to use both, depending on how they feel that day or what works for them most. Some lash artists even go so far as to use a mix of the two. Ultimately, there's no one way to do things in this industry. It's crucial that you feel at ease using your tools. If you're not happy with your client's lashes, don't be afraid to experiment with other products or techniques until you find one that both you and your clients will like!   Do you find this blog post helpful? Things You Might Not Know About Glitter Lash Extensions

What are glitter lash extensions? Are glitter lash extensions safe? Glitter lash extensions are becoming more popular in the lash world, especially among clients who want to add a bit of sparkle to their look. As a lash artist, understanding these unique lashes can help you offer better services to your clients. Glitter Galaxy Collection, Incredible Retention Primer, Super Bonder, Velour Lash Adhesive, Hydrogel Under Eye Patches and Lash Tape are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   New to lash photo editing? We've got you covered with our Free Lash Editing Tutorial. Click here to learn more!   What Are Glitter Lash Extensions? Glitter lash extensions are just like regular lash extensions but with a touch of sparkle. They come in various colors and are designed to catch the light, giving the wearer a glamorous and eye-catching look. These lashes are perfect for special occasions, holidays, or clients who simply want to stand out. Glitter Lash Collections and Flower Self Adhesive are used here. To shop, please click here.    Here are some things you might not know about them! 1. Glitter Lash Extensions Aren’t Just for Special Occasions While glitter lashes are often thought of as something to wear for events like parties, New Year’s Eve, or festivals, they're actually versatile enough for everyday wear. Many clients love them for their subtle sparkle that can add just the right amount of glam to their daily routine. Whether it's a hint of glitter along the lash line or a full set of glitter extensions, these lashes can be customized to suit a variety of looks.   2. They Come in Different Levels of Sparkle Glitter lash extensions are not all the same! Some are more sparkly than others, depending on the type of glitter used and how it's applied. You can choose between fine glitter that gives a soft shimmer and larger particles for a bolder, more noticeable look. This variety allows you to create different styles, from understated to dramatic, giving your clients the option to choose what fits their personality.   3. They Can Be Mixed with Regular Lashes You don’t need to use glitter lashes for a full set if your client isn’t ready for that much sparkle. Mixing regular black lashes with glitter lashes is a popular option. This technique adds just a touch of glitter to the outer corner of the lashes or along the top layer, creating a unique effect without being too overwhelming. It’s a great way to ease clients into the glitter lash trend.   4. Glitter Lashes Can Be Applied the Same Way as Regular Lashes One of the best things about glitter lashes is that they’re easy to apply, just like traditional lash extensions. There’s no need for special tools or adhesives. The application process is the same, so as long as you’re experienced with lash extensions, you can offer glitter lashes with confidence. The only thing to remember is that you need to work carefully to prevent excess glitter from falling onto the client’s skin during application.   5. They’re Lightweight Glitter lashes are often made with lightweight materials that won’t weigh down natural lashes. This makes them just as comfortable as regular lash extensions. Whether your client chooses a few glitter lashes or a full set, they won’t feel any difference in weight. The key is to ensure that the glitter is evenly distributed, so the lashes maintain their light feel and don’t cause unnecessary strain on natural lashes.   6. Perfect for All Lash Types No matter what type of lashes your client has, glitter lash extensions can be used to enhance their natural look. Whether your client has straight, curly, thick, or fine lashes, glitter lash extensions can be applied to any lash type. By customizing the glitter and lash length, you can create a flawless, natural finish or a bold, sparkling look, depending on what your client prefers.   7. They Can Add Color Without the Commitment Glitter lash extensions are also a great way to add color without committing to a bold, full-color set of lashes. You can opt for colored glitter, such as gold, silver, or even pastel shades, to add a pop of color that’s subtle yet fun. Clients can experiment with different glitter colors without the pressure of maintaining colored lashes.   8. They’re Not Just for the Eyelashes While glitter lash extensions are typically used on the eyelids, some artists get creative and apply them to brows or other facial features. This trend is gaining popularity, especially for special occasions like photo shoots, fashion shows, or theatrical performances. Glitter accents in unexpected places can make your work stand out and attract clients who want something truly unique.   9. Glitter Lash Extensions Last as Long as Regular Lashes If your clients are concerned that glitter will cause their lashes to fall off more quickly, rest assured that glitter lash extensions have the same longevity as regular lash extensions. As long as they’re properly applied and maintained, glitter lashes can last for several weeks. Just remind your clients to avoid excessive rubbing or using harsh products around their eyes to extend the life of their lashes.   10. They’re Fun and Trendy Let’s face it—glitter lashes are simply fun! They add an element of excitement and glamour to any look, and their popularity is only growing. By offering glitter lash extensions, you can stay ahead of the trend and give your clients a way to express their personality through their lashes. Application Tips for Glitter Lash Extensions Mix with Regular Lashes: To avoid an overly dramatic look, mix glitter lashes with regular lash extensions. This creates a balanced and elegant appearance.Placement Matters: Focus on placing glitter lashes strategically. For example, you can place them on the outer corners of the eyes or distribute them evenly throughout the lash line.Use a Clear Adhesive: Using clear adhesive helps maintain the sparkle of the glitter lashes, as dark glue can sometimes dull their shine.Work with Small Sections: Applying glitter lashes can be more time-consuming. Work in small sections to ensure precision and avoid clumping. Lashes, Glitter Galaxy Collection, Color Lashes, Incredible Retention Primer, Super Bonder, and Velour Lash Adhesive are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   Caring for Glitter Lash Extensions Educate your clients on how to care for their glitter lash extensions to ensure longevity and maintain their sparkle.Avoid Oil-Based Products: Oil can break down the adhesive. Advise clients to use oil-free makeup removers and skincare products.Be Gentle: Remind clients to be gentle when washing their face and avoid rubbing their eyes.Regular Cleaning: Encourage clients to clean their lashes regularly with a lash extension cleanser to keep them looking fresh and prevent any buildup of makeup or oils. How To Practice As A Lash Artist Without A Model

by Michelle Rebay on Sep 20 2022
How can I practice eyelash extensions without a model? What can I use to practice eyelash extensions at home? Becoming a skilled lash artist requires plenty of practice. However, finding a model isn’t always an option, especially when you're eager to practice but no one is available. Fortunately, there are several innovative ways to sharpen your lash application skills solo. Lashes, Lash Wisps and Optite Low Humidity Adhesive used here. To shop, please click here.   New to lash photo editing? We've got you covered with our Free Lash Editing Tutorial. Click here to learn more!   Here’s how you can keep improving, even without a live model. 1. Practicing with a Sponge One of the simplest and most accessible methods is using a sponge. Sponges are great because they mimic the softness of an eyelid, which is perfect for lash application practice. Just place the sponge flat on a table, and try applying lashes as if it were a real eyelid. This is a fantastic way to get used to the feel of the tweezers and the lashes. Sponge, Lashes, Lash Wisps, Ultra Crystal Bond and Lash Artist Practice Workbook are used here. To shop, please click here.   2. Using Different Types of Lash Mannequin Heads Lash mannequin heads provide a more realistic experience and come in several varieties, allowing you to choose one that suits your training needs: Mannequin Head With Removable Eyelids and Under Eye Patches are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   Mannequin Head with Removable Eyelids: This type allows you to practice on different eyelid shapes and is ideal for trying out various application techniques.     Lash Mannequin Head with 3 Lash Layers: For those looking to master volume lashing, this mannequin head provides the complexity needed for building up layers.   Mannequin Face with Removable Eyelids: Perfect for practicing how lashes will look in relation to the entire face, enhancing your ability to create balanced and harmonious lash looks.   Investing in a lash mannequin head can significantly improve your precision and technique, making it a worthwhile tool for serious practice.   3. Using Hair from Your Own Head If you find yourself without any tools or mannequins, your own hair can serve as a great practice medium. Here’s a simple way to use your hair for lash practice: Collect a Hair Strand: Gently pull or cut a strand of hair from your head. Prepare the Setup: Take a cup with a solid color that contrasts with your hair color. If you have light hair, use a dark cup, and vice versa. Tape the hair strand across the cup's opening, securing it on both sides. Start Practicing: Now, you can begin applying lash fans to the hair strand. This method is excellent for working on your fan placement and attachment skills. Pro-made Fans and Precision Volume 90 Degree Tweezer are used here. To shop, please click here.   4. Lash Artist Practice Workbook To structure your practice sessions, consider using a Lash Artist Practice Workbook. This specialized workbook can guide you through various techniques such as: Lash Fan Making: Learn to create perfect, symmetrical fans. Lash Mapping: Practice designing lash layouts tailored to different eye shapes. Lash Direction: Understand how to set lash direction for a flawless finish. Working with Difficult Lashes: Gain skills in handling tricky lash situations. Mixing Different Types of Lash Curls: Experiment with combining various curls for unique looks. Chloe Collection Volume Lashes, Flower Self Adhesive Mini Glue Holder and Barbie Adhesive are used here. To shop, please click here.   Tips Before Practicing To make your practice sessions as effective as possible, consider the following tips: Keep Your Tools Organized: Set up your practice space like a professional lash station. This not only makes practice easier but also ingrains good habits for working with clients. Document Your Progress: Take photos or keep a journal of your practice sessions. Seeing your improvement over time can be incredibly motivating and helpful for refining techniques. Focus on Technique, Not Speed: Quality is more important than speed, especially in the learning stages. Concentrate on perfecting your application technique, and speed will naturally increase as you become more proficient. Get Feedback: If possible, show your work to a more experienced lash artist and get their feedback. Constructive criticism is invaluable for learning and growth.   CONCLUSION Practicing without a model can be just as productive as working with one if you use the right techniques and tools. By incorporating these methods into your routine, you can continually enhance your skills and confidence, ensuring that you're always ready to create beautiful lash applications for your future clients.     Do you find this blog post helpful? Isolation Techniques For Speeding Up Lash Application As A Lash Artist

by Michelle Rebay on Sep 18 2022

How do you isolate eyelash extensions? What happens when lashes are not isolated? If you're starting as a lash artist, you may feel like it's taking forever to isolate each lash or that your work is sloppy. The good news is that there are ways to isolate lashes more quickly without sacrificing quality. Don't rush through this step! You must take your time and isolate each lash properly so that no one gets damaged or damaged lashes fall off during the process. If you isolate too quickly and improperly, your client's natural lashes will stick together when you try to remove them from each other during the removal process. This can cause many problems. Hydro-Gel Under Eye Patches, Incredible Retention Primer and Straight Isolation Tweezer are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   New to lash photo editing? We've got you covered with our Free Lash Editing Tutorial. Click here to learn more!   WHAT IS LASH ISOLATION? Lash isolation means separating one natural lash at a time so an extension can be applied without touching other lashes. It helps the extension blend in naturally and sit properly on the lash. For clients with thin or sparse lashes, isolation is even more important because lashes tend to stick together more easily. Proper isolation helps prevent lash damage — it keeps each lash free to grow and shed naturally during its cycle. If lashes are glued together, they can’t shed correctly, which can cause breakage or discomfort over time. Isolation is key to creating clean, safe, and long-lasting lash sets. Neon Color Lashes, Velour Lash Adhesive, Incredible Retention Primer, Promade Fans, Hydro-Gel Under Eye Patches, Lash Tape, Large Tip Boot Lash Tweezer and Straight Isolation Tweezer are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   There are many benefits of proper lash isolation: It keeps natural lashes healthy and prevents breakage or damage. Good isolation means better retention and less chance of lashes sticking together. It helps lashes grow on their own cycle and avoids glue getting where it shouldn’t. Makes removal cleaner and lowers the chance of irritation or infection for your clients. Hydro-Gel Under Eye Patches, Lash Tape, Mega Volume Lashes, Elite High Humidity Adhesive and Straight Isolation Tweezer used in this set. To shop, please click here.   So you may be wondering how to speed up your technique. After all, this can be a slow process, and it can feel like you're spending so much time on one lash. But don't worry! Here are four ways to help speed it up:   #1 USE LASH TAPE There are many ways to isolate lashes. One of the most popular techniques is to by using lash tape. If you haven't tried tape yet, we highly recommend it! It's a great way to isolate lashes, especially if you have a client with a dense lash line and lots of natural lashes. Hydro-Gel Under Eye Patches, Lash Tape, Lash Extension Medical Tape, Mega Volume Lashes and Ultra Crystal Bond are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   The tape can be helpful when working with a client with many natural lashes. You might want to detach the tape first to avoid inflicting excessive pain on your client, based on the tape you're using and how sticky it is. Before applying the tape to your client, you can quickly remove the tacky layer from your hand.   To learn more about the lash taping method for easy application, please click here.   For more tips like this one be sure to subscribe to our email list, we send very informative and helpful emails every week, please click here.   #2 USE GEL PADS You can use tape to isolate lashes, but using it can be a bit tricky. Gel pads are your best bet if you work with a sensitive client or want something softer than tape.  Lashes, Velour Lash Adhesive and Hydro-Gel Under Eye Patches are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   They're easy to put on and peel off without leaving any residue. They also allow for more movement than tape, so you can move around and modify it throughout the appointment. Another option is to use a combination of both gel pads and tape. Applying a gel pad layer over the top of your tape will help prevent any accidental pulling or ripping out of lashes when removing the tape from your client's lids.   For more tips like this one be sure to subscribe to our email list, we send very informative and helpful emails every week, please click here.   #3 USE YOUR FINGERS Don't you hate it when trying to separate your client's lashes and accidentally touch the neighboring ones? Another option is to use your fingers instead of tweezers, which can be easier for some lash artists. Hydro-Gel Under Eye Patches, Lash Tape, Lash Extension Medical Tape, Mega Volume Lashes and Ultra Crystal Bond are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   When you isolate, you can feel exactly where the lash is, preventing unwanted contact with neighboring lashes. Your fingers are ideal because they are so sensitive. This is a suitable method for when your client has already had extensions put on because it allows you to maneuver around the existing ones more easily.  For example, if you have a client with an extension still on, you can freely use your ring finger to move the lashes out of the way so you can isolate them with your tweezer, on the other hand.   For more tips like this one be sure to subscribe to our email list, we send very informative and helpful emails every week, please click here.   #4 USING LASH TWEEZERS Isolating lashes can be tricky. Not only are there many moving lashes, but you also have to be able to see what you're doing. The best way to isolate lashes is with a pair of tweezers.  Most artists isolate without using their pick-up tweezers. However, it is much easier to maneuver and separate your client's tiny baby lashes when you use both tweezers.   Hydro-Gel Under Eye Patches, Lash Tape, Mega Volume Lashes, Elite High Humidity Adhesive, Oblong Tweezer and Straight Isolation Tweezer are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   When using both tweezers to isolate, you want to angle your isolation tweezer downward and toward the lashes. To provide a clear field of vision and assist isolation, you will also angle the pick-up tweezer upwards while lifting and moving the eyelashes out of the way. We highly recommend using both tweezers to isolate lashes if you're a beginner. This will make the lash application easier and more efficient.   To learn more about the different types of eyelash tweezers and their uses, please click here.   For more tips like this one be sure to subscribe to our email list, we send very informative and helpful emails every week, please click here.   LASH APPLICATION ERROR: STICKIES FROM POOR ISOLATION The photos clearly shows two individual lash extensions—Lash extension #1 and Lash extension #2—improperly bonded together by glue. This error can cause discomfort and potentially damage the natural lashes, emphasizing the importance of careful, precise isolation to ensure each extension adheres to only one natural lash.   WHAT TWEEZERS DO YOU USE TO ISOLATE LASHES? Eyelash tweezers may look like a simple tool, but they can make your work much easier. Beginners usually find it hard to isolate lashes. That's why it's wise to buy a tweezer that will help you in your lash-isolating journey. Mega Volume Lashes, Optite Low Humidity Adhesive, Hydro-Gel Under Eye Patches, Lash Tape, Lash Extension Medical Tape and Half Moon Lash Mirror are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   Here are some of our tweezers that you can use to improve your skills and make yourself a pro:   STRAIGHT ISOLATION TWEEZER Creating a clean, precise application of lashes can be a challenge. Luckily, this straight isolation tweezer is designed to make your job easier by allowing more flexibility in your application techniques while isolating each lash. The fine point tip is perfect for isolating and popping off grown-out lashes with ease.  Straight Isolation Tweezer   ISOLATION 45 DEGREE TWEEZER A perfect tweezer for working with those inner corners, this 45-degree angle tweezer has an easy-access grip and is especially useful for lash artists with longer fingers. When creating the perfect look, the isolation lash tweezer aids in keeping natural lashes separate. You can gently apply lash extensions for your clients while holding another tweezer in your non-dominant hand. Isolation Long 45 Degree Tweezer   LAILA TWEEZER Instead of the usual guesswork and messy cleanup, we designed this tweezer to make it easy. With its slim and lightweight design, you'll be closer to the lash line, allowing your hands to move effortlessly from lash to lash—an overall tweezer for deep-set eyes and inner and outer sections. Laila Tweezer   MALACHI LASH TWEEZER With a 14 cm length, this tweezer is ideal for lash artists with long fingers and makes it much simpler to isolate those challenging, hard-to-reach lashes. by Michelle Rebay on Sep 18 2022
What is the difference between flat lashes and classic? Are flat lashes lighter than classic? How do you apply flat eyelash extensions? Flat classic lashes seem to be the latest trend in the world of eyelash extensions, and it's becoming more popular than ever before. There are various reasons for this, and its popularity will continue to rise. Flat Lashes 0.15 (Mix 8-14mm) is used here. To shop, please click here.   Choosing between classic and flat lashes can be tough, especially when trying them for the first time. If you aren't sure what style is best for your clients, let's go over the details to help you decide.   New to lash photo editing? We've got you covered with our Free Lash Editing Tutorial. Click here to learn more!   WHAT ARE FLAT CLASSIC LASHES EXTENSIONS? Flat classic lashes are just like they sound. They're flat and are the new trend in lash extensions. In fact, classic flat lashes have also been called "Ellipse" and "Cashmere" lashes. Flat lashes have several advantages and are ideal for classic or hybrid lash sets. Compared to classic full set lashes of the same weight, they appear thicker and more dramatic. Because of their wider bonding surface, flat lashes provide better lash retention. The less harmful natural lashes are because they are lighter. Both kinds of lashes can be altered to the client's liking, thanks to the availability of various lengths and thicknesses.   In addition, flat lashes are definitely for you if you want lightweight lashes that only need a little adhesive. They are perfect for clients with weaker and shorter natural lashes and still achieve a naturally beautiful look. There are different types of flat lashes: Black Flat Classic Lashes We all want the best for our lash clients. That's why when working with bespoke, luxury lashes, we look to make them as natural and beautiful as possible. They're a great choice if you haven't seen classic flat lashes. Color lash extensions are one of those trends that never go out of style! You can never go wrong with flat colored extensions, whether your client wants the warm tones of brown lashes, the earthy vibes of green or blue lashes, bold rainbow lashes, or even a dashing style with red or purple lashes! Flat Color Lashes Mix Length (8-15mm) 0.15mm is used here. Or what kind of mood your client is in the day they come in to get their lashes done. They'll be in good hands with you and your artistic flare!   For more tips like this one be sure to subscribe to our email list, we send very informative and helpful emails every week, please click here.   WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FLAT LASHES AND CLASSIC? It would seem that flat lashes are taking over classic lashes. But why? Although classic lashes have a few advantages, most lash artists like flat lashes because they give a more dramatic look without harming the client's natural eyelashes. The application process for both types is pretty much the same; however, there are some differences.   Classic lashes are round in the base, and flat lashes are more oval in the base. These two shapes make all the difference when creating a most flattering lash look. Because of this, the look of a flat lash and a classic lash of the same weight differs significantly. The classic lash offers a very soft natural look, but the flat lash gives the eye more of a wispy eyeliner effect. Classic lashes extensions can be applied to the client's natural lash's top, side, or bottom. Unlike flat lashes, you can apply it only at the top or bottom of the natural lashes. Because they are healthier, safer, lighter, softer, and have better retention, flat lash extensions are preferable to classic lashes.   For more tips like this one be sure to subscribe to our email list, we send very informative and helpful emails every week, please click here.   BENEFITS OF FLAT LASHES While choosing the perfect set of lashes depends entirely on the client, you can never go wrong with flat ones. These extensions can be easily applied to any client, whether you are a beginner or an expert in the field. An excellent choice for lash clients who desire a set of classic lashes that are more dramatic. A greater bonding surface is provided on flat lashes, which improves retention. Because they are lighter, they do less damage to the natural lashes. For clients with weak natural lashes, flat lashes are ideal. They give off a more textured appearance without adding weight like regular classic lashes. The application only needs a tiny bit of glue. Both classic and flat lashes are the same except for their base. For those clients who prefer a splash of color or a more dramatic pair of classic lashes, flat color lashes are a great choice.   For more tips like this one be sure to subscribe to our email list, we send very informative and helpful emails every week, please click here.   CONCLUSION If you want to learn why flat classic lashes are taking over the eyelash market, then you should understand what they offer you. You should now be aware of what flat classic lashes are. If not, the description and photos should help to clear up any confusion you may have had. It's impossible to know where this trend will lead or how long it will last, but you can be sure that it will remain prevalent for the foreseeable future. There you have it, we've discussed many things in this article, but the most important thing to remember is that flat lashes look as if they're growing right out of the eyes and provide a natural-looking appearance. There's no reason not to use them!     Do you find this blog post helpful? Have you learned something? Leave a comment below and share your thoughts. 5 Retention Killers That Every Lash Artist Needs To Know

by Michelle Rebay on Sep 05 2022

As a lash artist, nothing beats the feeling of seeing your clients walk out of your studio with full, flawless lashes. But if you're dealing with retention issues, that excitement can quickly turn into frustration. We all know the struggle—clients come back with lashes that didn’t last as long as expected, and that can be discouraging. Let’s break down 5 retention killers that could be sabotaging your work and how you can fix them to keep your clients happy and coming back for more. Hydrogel Pads, Lash Tape, Mega Volume Lashes and Elite High Humidity Adhesive are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   New to lash photo editing? We've got you covered with our Free Lash Editing Tutorial. Click here to learn more!   1. Dirty Lashes Before You Start One of the most common mistakes is assuming your client's lashes are clean when they may have leftover oils, makeup, or dirt. This can seriously affect how well the adhesive bonds to the lashes. Why this hurts retention: If lashes aren’t clean, the adhesive can’t form a strong bond, causing the extensions to lift or fall off quicker than expected. Fix it: Always clean the lashes thoroughly with a gentle cleanser before applying extensions. It’s a small step that makes a huge difference in how well your lashes last. Lash Shampoo Foam and Disposable Eye Lash Brush are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   Struggling with dirty lashes before application? CLICK HERE to discover how to properly clean lashes for better results with Lash Shampoo vs Cleanser.   2. Wrong Adhesive for the Job The adhesive you use plays a big role in how long lashes last. If your glue isn’t suited to the temperature or humidity in your room, or your client’s natural lash type, you could end up with poor retention. Why this hurts retention: If the adhesive cures too quickly or not fast enough, the lashes won’t stay bonded properly, leading to faster shedding. Fix it: Choose an adhesive that matches your working environment. For example, if you're working in a high-humidity space, make sure to pick a glue designed for those conditions. Always consider your client’s lash type and match the adhesive accordingly. Chocolate Collection, Bullet Adhesive and Chocolate Charm Bond are used here. To shop, please click here.   Click HERE to learn more about choosing the right eyelash extension glue for perfect retention.   3. Using Too Much Glue It can be tempting to use a lot of glue to ensure your lashes stick, but this actually backfires. Too much glue can cause the extension to slide or shift, leading to poor retention. Why this hurts retention: Over-saturating the lash with glue doesn’t allow it to bond correctly and can cause the extension to loosen and fall off prematurely. Fix it: Apply a thin, even coat of glue to the base of the extension. Less is more when it comes to adhesive. A small amount of glue will bond securely and help the lashes last longer. Hydrogel Under Eye Patches, Lash Tape, Classic Lashes, Velour Lash Adhesive, Incredible Retention Primer, Oblong Tweezer, and Straight Isolation Tweezer are used in this set. To shop, please click here. Learn the proper use of adhesives: CLICK HERE to understand the types of Cyanoacrylate and prevent glue overload.   4. Clients Not Following Aftercare Aftercare is just as important as the application itself. If your clients are using oil-based makeup removers, rubbing their eyes, or getting their lashes wet too soon, retention will suffer. Why this hurts retention: Oil, moisture, and friction can break down the adhesive, causing the lashes to lose their bond. Plus, rubbing or pulling can lead to lash fallout. Fix it: Educate your clients on how to care for their lashes after the appointment. Recommend a lash-safe cleanser and encourage them to avoid touching or rubbing their lashes. The better the aftercare, the longer the lashes will last. Deluxe Aftercare Kit and Lash Apron are used in this set. To shop, please click here. Struggling with retention? Learn the essential aftercare tips for lash extensions – Click to read more!   5. Wrong Lash Length or Weight Using lashes that are too long or too heavy for your client’s natural lashes can cause strain, leading to premature shedding. Why this hurts retention: If the extensions are too heavy or long, they put stress on the natural lashes, which causes them to shed sooner than they should. Fix it: Choose the right length and weight for each client's natural lashes. Lighter, shorter extensions work best for clients with finer lashes, while longer, thicker lashes should be applied to stronger natural lashes. It’s all about balance for better retention. Classic Lashes, Elite High Humidity Adhesive, Incredible Retention Primer and Super Bonder are used in this set. To shop, please click here.    Want to avoid lash retention issues? Let’s break down low and high porosity in easy-to-read bullet points so you can better understand how it impacts your lash work.   Low Porosity: Closed Cuticle What is it?Low porosity lashes have a tightly closed cuticle. Why it matters:The adhesive has a hard time bonding because the cuticle is closed and resistant to opening. How to fix it:Use a primer with a higher pH to help open the cuticle and increase porosity. This allows the adhesive to bond more effectively.   High Porosity: Open Cuticle What is it?High porosity lashes have an open cuticle, making them more porous. Why it matters:The open cuticle makes it easier for the adhesive to bond with the natural lash. How to fix it:Choose a primer and adhesive formulated for high porosity lashes to ensure a strong, lasting bond.   Key Takeaway: Low porosity = Use a primer with a higher pH to open the cuticle. High porosity = Work with the open cuticle for strong adhesion. Understanding these differences and choosing the right products for each client will improve retention and keep your lashes looking great longer!   How Can You Tell If a Lash is Low or High Porosity? Understanding porosity is key to achieving better lash retention. Here’s how you can tell if a client has low or high porosity lashes: How to Identify Low Porosity Lashes Shiny appearance: Lashes often look glossy or slick because the cuticle is tightly closed, making it harder for moisture to penetrate. Hard to curl: Lashes may not hold a curl well since the closed cuticle resists any movement. Takes longer to dry: When applying adhesive, the glue might take longer to bond because the closed cuticle resists penetration. Feels stiff or coated: Low porosity lashes may feel stiffer or coated when you run your fingers through them.   How to Identify High Porosity Lashes More texture: High porosity lashes feel rough or coarse because the cuticle is more open. Easier to curl: These lashes tend to hold curls well since the open cuticle allows more flexibility. Dries quickly: The adhesive bonds more quickly with high porosity lashes due to the open cuticle allowing faster absorption. Feels dry or brittle: High porosity lashes may feel drier or more brittle because they absorb moisture quickly, making them more susceptible to damage.   Key Takeaway: Low porosity lashes appear shiny, are harder to curl, take longer to dry, and feel stiffer. High porosity lashes have more texture, hold a curl better, dry faster, and feel drier or more brittle.   Conclusion Retention issues are frustrating, but they’re also fixable. By addressing these common retention killers, you can provide longer-lasting lashes that your clients will love. Here’s a quick recap: Clean your client’s lashes thoroughly before starting. Choose the right adhesive for your environment and lash type. Apply just the right amount of glue—don’t overdo it. Teach your clients the importance of aftercare. Always match the extension weight and length to their natural lashes. By focusing on these key areas, you can ensure your clients leave your studio with lashes that last—and keep coming back for more!   These tips are just a glimpse of so many things that you need to learn on how to improve your client's retention.  I have compiled all the helpful tips in our LASH RETENTION ONLINE COURSE.   THIS ISN'T ABOUT SALES TALK. Classic Lashes For Darker, Fuller Lashes

by Michelle Rebay on Sep 04 2022
How to make classic lash extensions look fuller? What is the thickest classic lash? Which lash thickness is ideal for a naturally fuller look? What lashes are best for classics? Classic lashes are fantastic for creating a more natural, everyday look. It perfectly balances a bold, dramatic lash and a natural lash. The vital thing you should know about classic lashes: they look great, they're not necessarily as natural looking but darker and fuller instead. Regarding your desired application method, this is what truly matters. Classic Lashes, Ultra Crystal Bond, Incredible Retention Primer and Super Bonder are used in this set. To shop, please click here.     New to lash photo editing? We've got you covered with our Free Lash Editing Tutorial. Click here to learn more!   You know many ways to create classic lash extensions if you're a lash artist. The key is knowing which method will give you the best results for your client. Classic Lashes, Ultra Crystal Bond, Incredible Retention Primer and Super Bonder are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   Do you want to create a darker and fuller set of classic lashes? Don't worry! With this guide, you will learn everything you need to know. Gel Under Eye Patches, Eyelash Extension Ballet Slippers Tape, Classic Lashes, Velour Lash Adhesive, Incredible Retention Primer, Super Bonder, Oblong Tweezer, and Straight Isolation Tweezer are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   CHECK THE CLIENT'S NATURAL LASHES If you notice any gaps on your client's lashes or if they appear fragile, weak, or even damaged from the previous set they had before coming to you, these could all be signs that you should advise a different kind of set or option. However, if you see that they have thick natural lashes, few gaps, or many layers, they are a perfect candidate that you can use to get that fuller look.     For more tips like this one be sure to subscribe to our email list, we send very informative and helpful emails every week, please click here.     IMPORTANCE OF PROPER PUTTING THE UNDER EYE PATCHES Make sure you get this right and redo it if necessary until the client is comfortable and everything looks good. This part is essential because we want to ensure that the client's lashes can sit nicely so that they are adequately exposed, and we can see all of the natural lashes. If not, you'll struggle with the eye pad and the tape the entire session.   Gel Under Eye Patches and Collagen Lip Mask are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   For more tips like this one be sure to subscribe to our email list, we send very informative and helpful emails every week, please click here.     YOU CAN USE DIFFERENT DIAMETER If necessary, you can use lashes of varying diameters, whether thinner or thicker. Still, if you can apply lashes to every single natural lash, that is what will be able to give you the fullness and dense look when using classic lashes.   Classic Lashes and Precision Volume 90 Degree Tweezer are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   Look at the length and thickness of the natural lashes to determine the best diameter to use. If you're looking at the inner corner, that area will be the weakest or thinnest, so you should use a very light lash extension. However, when you get to the middle of the eye, those will be the longest or thickest natural lashes, so you can use a heavier 0.18 lash that can hold that. Classic Lashes and Dolphin-Shaped Curved Tweezer are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   For more tips like this one be sure to subscribe to our email list, we send very informative and helpful emails every week, please click here.     MAKE SURE TO ASK YOUR CLIENT IF THEY WANT SOMETHING DRAMATIC OR A NATURAL SET Ask whether they like something long and dramatic or something natural and simple. If you maintain the lashes a little shorter, you'll have a better idea of the style they want and how long to make them. It would help if you also noted how long their natural lashes are. Classic Lashes, Ultra Crystal Bond, Incredible Retention Primer and Super Bonder are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   Remember that these lashes are very heavy; therefore, measure each lash extension to the natural lash to ensure that it is something the client can carry. Don't just assume that each client can handle a 15 or 16 length if they want something long. Classic Lashes, Bullet Adhesive, Incredible Retention Primer and Super Bonder are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   There are many kinds of classic lashes available, with sizes ranging from 0.15 to.20. A .20 is the heaviest, thickest, and darkest lash you can use. However, you must choose the correct natural lash to attach these diameters; if it is something thinner, use a.15; if it is something longer or thicker. If you prefer a darker, thicker look, you can use something denser, like a 0.18 or even a 0.20, but be careful to accurately measure each lash's diameter.   For more tips like this one be sure to subscribe to our email list, we send very informative and helpful emails every week, please click here.     LASH BACK AND FORTH I frequently jump from eye to eye when lashing to achieve a fuller, bolder look. However, when applying classic lashes, I want to ensure that the glue has enough time to dry and that nothing is lashed too closely to or right next to it so that the glue and lashes do not adhere to one another. Using too much adhesive or lashing too quickly will cause all of your extensions to get tangled and create a messy situation or a poor classic set. Classic Lashes, Optite Low Humidity Adhesive, Incredible Retention Primer, and Isolation Long 45 Degree Tweezer are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   When applying the lash extensions, don't be afraid to use the sides or the bottom of the lash wherever it will be easiest to attach that lash extension. For example, if you notice that some lashes are gearing to the left, try attaching the extension a little more to the right, or if the lash is pointed upwards, go ahead and try an upwards bond. Place it wherever it will be more convenient for you to do so. Just make sure the base is in contact with the natural lash.   TIP: Don't be afraid to use a short lash extension because they're thinner or shorter. It looks much darker and makes the set more complete if you have them done rather than just leaving them bare. Make sure that these inner corners are full and every lash is lashed.   For more tips like this one be sure to subscribe to our email list, we send very informative and helpful emails every week, please click here.      ISOLATE THE LASHES PROPERLY Take time isolating each lash; don't be afraid to take more time if necessary. You must do this since you don't want any tiny hairs or extensions to get caught and cause that set to look hazy and unkempt. Again, don't be afraid to utilize your tape fully. If you need to make the lid stretch in a particular way to expose specific lashes, go ahead and make the necessary adjustments. You don't want to struggle with the lashes to get something to show; it's much simpler to let the tape handle the situation for you. To achieve the desired darker eye look, line up thicker diameters near one another. To do this effectively, use your taping up techniques once more. Please ensure clean isolation before picking up the lash, dipping it in glue, and placing it directly on the top, bottom, or the side of the lash. Try to expose as many bottom-layer lashes as you can using this method. Classic Lashes, Elite High Humidity Adhesive, Incredible Retention Primer, Dolphin-Shaped Curved Tweezer and Isolation Long 45 Degree Tweezer are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   Always remember which area of the eye you are working on, whether it be the corner, the middle, or the outer edges, again determining how thick the natural lashes are. Outer corners will be very similar to what you did to the inner corners—taped the lid with a thin piece of tape. And used it to pull the corner back just a little so that the lashes clumped in the corner may be more freely seen. The tricky part, in my opinion, or the part you have to get used to, is deciding which way you want to pull that tape. For example, if you're going to pull it horizontally, you can see the outer ones exposing a little bit more if you do it that way.   For more tips like this one be sure to subscribe to our email list, we send very informative and helpful emails every week, please click here.     WHAT IS THE BEST THICKNESS FOR CLASSIC LASHES? As lash artists, our canvas is the eye, and our paints are the lashes we choose. Understanding the nuances of lash thickness is crucial to crafting the perfect look for our clients. Here's a straightforward breakdown: Classic Lashes: 0.12mm: Ideal for a 'barely-there' enhancement. It’s perfect for clients with fine lashes that can’t bear much weight. They add a touch of fullness, making them suitable for everyday wear. 0.15mm: This is a step up for those who want a bit more definition. They’re still natural but give the eyes a slightly more pronounced look. 0.18mm: Reserved for those with strong natural lashes who want to make a statement. It’s the thickest I’d go for a classic set to maintain a healthy lash line.   Volume Lashes: 0.03mm in 16D: This is for a full-on dramatic look, without the heaviness. It allows us to create a lush fan that's as light as a feather. 0.05mm in 8D and 10D: These are for a voluminous look with a bit more body, yet still light enough to not weigh down the natural lash. 0.07mm in 3D, 4D, and 6D: These provide a fluffy volume that's more noticeable than classic lashes, yet still maintains a soft feel. As a lash artist, it's our job to assess the natural lash strength and decide on the best thickness to use. It’s like building a house; you wouldn’t put heavy tiles on a weak structure. Similarly, heavy lashes on a delicate lash line is a no-go. For example, when a client with fine lashes wants the volume of a 0.18mm classic, I’d steer them towards a 6D fan of 0.07mm lashes instead. It gives volume without the damage.   TIP: Selecting the correct lash thickness isn't just about the look—it's about lash health and sustainability. It’s about creating beauty that lasts.   For more tips like this one be sure to subscribe to our email list, we send very informative and helpful emails every week, please click here.     CONCLUSION Mix curls, thickness, and lengths throughout the lash set to add texture and the appearance of fuller, darker sets. The set will appear dark and fuller if you decrease the length between each normal extension you apply, mainly through the center of the eye. Ensure that you apply every lash. And fill them in as much as you can, and pay attention to the inner corners, which will also complete your set.   Do you find this blog post helpful? Have you learned something? Remembering a few things might be beneficial before you start building your clientele and earning money from your passion. And we're here to help! There's a lot of hype around lash extensions these days, but we'll let you in on a little secret: squirrel lash mapping are one the best way to go. We've got you covered with our Free Lash Editing Tutorial. Click here to learn more!   The squirrel lash style is a dream lash look that holds a lot of women's yearning. It's no wonder; your client's eyes will steal attention because they add volume to the natural eyelashes.   Squirrel lash mapping is a technique that's gaining popularity among lash artists and clients. It's the process of mapping out and applying different lengths where your client's natural lashes are so that you can create a more natural-looking lash extension application.   When working on a lash extension, having a map is vital. A lash map is a guide that shows where each lash will go and how long it should be. The map also allows you to check the symmetry of your set, which is crucial for creating beautiful results. If you've never done squirrel lash mapping before, it can be a little tricky at first. However, it's simple once you figure it out! If you, too, have a client asking for the "Squirrel Lash Look," here are quick tips for you to tickle your way to that prized look, but first, let's get to know this lash style.   Want to Master Lash Mapping? Try our LASH MAPPING GUIDE. This essential tool is made for both beginner and experienced lash artists. 📲 Want a printed copy? [Click here] 📦 Want a digital copy? [Click here]     WHAT IS A SQUIRREL LASH MAP? Style Options: Can be created using volume or classic eyelash extension techniques, depending on the client's desired density. Classic Technique: Each natural lash is applied with one extension. Volume Technique: Multiple extensions (lash fans) are applied to each natural lash for more density and a fuller look.   Ideal for eyes that are close-set, round, hooded, downturned, bulging, or almond-shaped. The longest lash length will be at the arch of the eyebrows. Promade Loose Fans, Colored Promade Fans, Velour Lash Adhesive, Super Bonder, and Incredible Retention Primer are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   This look is achieved by starting with short lashes and gradually getting longer, with the halfway point having the longest length, increasing and then decreasing sharply toward the outer corner. Squirrel lashes are a great way to create a look that is both bold and sexy. A lash artist uses a minimum of four lengths of eyelash extensions to achieve the desired lash look.   For more tips like this one be sure to subscribe to our email list, we send very informative and helpful emails every week, please click here.   THE SQUIRREL STYLE LASH LOOK IS SUITABLE FOR CLIENTS WITH: Close-set of eyes High brow arch Outer corner lashes growing downwards Hydrogel Under Eye Patches, Dolphin-Shaped Curved Tweezer, Isolation Long 45 Degree Tweezer, Promade Fans XL Boxes, and Velour Lash Adhesive are used in this set. The answer lies in lash maps! Hydro-Gel Under Eye Patches and Lash Tape are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   It cannot be easy to ensure every set is perfect if you don't have a map for each client. I know this from someone's experience… Imagine your first ever eyelash extension course didn't teach you how to use a map (or any other technique for that matter) and when your first client came in for her appointment, and you will be stumped as to what to do! You will feel like it was such a shame because your client had beautiful lashes already - but you couldn't get them right on her left eye as they were longer than they should have been!   LASH TECH MAPPING TIP: Use an eyeliner with the client's eye. When they close their eyes, you will know. Exactly where to put the lengths on the patches. Eyeliner Safe For Eyelash Extension is used in this set. To shop, please click here.   Here's another mapping to help you! Mark the inner and outer corners of the eye first. Next, mark the center of the eye for better symmetry. The shortest lash length should be 7mm. The longest lash length should be around 12mm. Choose lash extension lengths based on the client's natural lashes. Match the extensions to the client's natural lash length, thickness, and placement. This step is crucial to ensure the final look complements the client's natural lashes. The longest lashes are put under the brow arch for a natural-looking squirrel-style lash effect. That will also make up the majority of the mapping. It is essential to transition smoothly from one length to another so the eyes can expand visually. Lashes, Colored Lashes, and Ultra Crystal Clear Bond are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   For more tips like this one be sure to subscribe to our email list, we send very informative and helpful emails every week, please click here.   CONCLUSION Squirrel Lash Mapping is a great way to achieve the volume, length, and thickness that clients are looking for without opting for giant eyelash extensions. This style can give both a natural or bold look, depending on how you map the lashes. Key Tips for Squirrel Lash Mapping: Use shorter lashes in the inner corners and gradually increase length towards the outer corners. Focus on a more rounded lash line to mimic the fluffy, voluminous look of squirrel lashes. Mix different lengths to create a fuller effect. Consistent practice with these strategies will make you a pro at squirrel lash mapping in no time.       Want to Master Lash Mapping? The Truth About D Curl Lashes

by Michelle Rebay on Jul 17 2022

If you’re in the lash industry, you’ve likely heard of D curl lashes—a favorite for clients looking for bold, glamorous results. Known for their intense curl and eye-opening effect, D curl lashes can be a game-changer for certain clients. However, as with any lash style, there’s more to these extensions than meets the eye. In this post, we’ll dive into what makes D curl lashes unique, who they’re best suited for, and the pros and cons you should consider before applying them.    Volume D Curl Lashes used here. To shop, please click here.   New to lash photo editing? We've got you covered with our Free Lash Editing Tutorial. Click here to learn more!   What Are D Curl Lashes? D curl lashes are among the most dramatic lash extensions available. With a steeper upward curve than the popular C curl, they are designed to create a high-impact, lifted look. This makes them perfect for clients looking to add more definition and drama to their eyes. D curls also go by the name "CC curl" in some circles, but the effect is the same—a noticeable, glamorous curl that brightens and widens the eyes. Gel Under Eye Patches, Eyelash Extension Ballet Slippers Tape, Mega Volume Lashes, Straight Isolation Tweezer and Elite High Humidity Adhesive are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   These lashes are ideal for clients with downward-angled or straight lashes, as the pronounced curl helps lift and open the eye area. The D curl creates a rounded, bold appearance, enhancing the overall eye shape and adding a noticeable lift.   How Do D Curl Lashes Compare to C Curl Lashes? While both C and D curl lashes add volume and lift, the D curl is significantly curlier. C curls provide a more natural look with a softer upward lift, making them versatile for most eye shapes and lash types. In contrast, D curls are all about drama and impact. The more pronounced curl of D lashes can transform downward-angled lashes into a wide, open-eyed look that catches attention. Volume Lashes mix curls D, CC, and C, and Velour Lash Adhesive used in this set. To shop, please click here.   However, the D curl’s extreme curl may not be ideal for all clients, especially those with naturally upward-growing lashes. On these clients, the D curl can prick the eyelid, causing discomfort. Similarly, clients with heavily hooded eyelids may find that the steep curve causes the extensions to come into contact with the skin, making them uncomfortable or irritating.   For more tips like this one be sure to subscribe to our email list, we send very informative and helpful emails every week, please click here.   Who Should Choose D Curl Lashes? D curl lashes work best for clients whose natural lashes grow straight or downward. The intense curl of the D lashes counteracts the downward direction, lifting the lashes upward and making the eyes appear bigger and more open. This makes D curl lashes especially beneficial for those with naturally drooping lashes or eyes that need extra definition. They are also excellent for achieving specific lash styles, such as the Doll Lash look, where the focus is on making the eyes appear large, round, and youthful. The dramatic effect of the D curl is ideal for clients looking for a striking, glamorous appearance. On the other hand, clients with naturally curly or upward-facing lashes may want to avoid D curls. In these cases, a D curl can create an exaggerated curl that may not sit well on the natural lashes, potentially causing discomfort or retention issues. Gel Under Eye Patches, Eyelash Extension Ballet Slippers Tape, Mega Volume Lashes, Straight Isolation Tweezer, Oblong Tweezer, and Elite High Humidity Adhesive are used in this set. Let’s break down the pros and cons to help you decide when to recommend these lashes. Pros Ideal for downward or straight lashes: The pronounced curve of D curl lashes lifts natural lashes that grow downward, creating a more open and bright-eyed appearance. Dramatic, bold look: D curls provide a striking, eye-catching effect, perfect for clients who want a glamorous and noticeable lash style. It’s ideal for events or clients who love a more voluminous lash line. Enhances eye prominence: The dramatic upward lift draws attention to the eyes, making them appear larger, rounder, and more prominent, especially when combined with thoughtful lash mapping. Perfect for creating specific styles: D curls are great for lash styles like the Doll Eye or Cat Eye, where emphasis on eye shape and size is key to achieving the desired look. Brightens the eyes: By curling upward, D curl lashes can create a more youthful, refreshed, and wide-awake appearance, making them popular among clients who want to brighten their eyes.   Cons Not suitable for naturally curly or upward-facing lashes: If your client’s natural lashes already curl upwards, the steep angle of D curl lashes may cause discomfort, as the extensions could prick or touch the eyelid. Retention can be tricky: The steep curve of D curl lashes means there’s less surface area for adhesive to bond with the natural lash, leading to potential issues with retention or faster shedding compared to straighter curls. Challenging for beginners: D curl lashes can be more difficult to apply due to their extreme curl. Beginners might struggle with isolation and securing a strong bond, which could lead to retention issues. May not suit all eye shapes: Clients with heavily hooded eyes or deep-set eyes may find that D curl lashes feel uncomfortable or appear less flattering, as the lashes might touch the eyelid more frequently. Frequent infills required: Due to the intense curl, D curl lashes may require more frequent maintenance or infill appointments, as the bond might weaken faster than with less curly lash types.   Tips for Lash Artists Applying D Curl Lashes Applying D curl lashes requires a skilled hand to ensure both comfort and retention. Here are a few tips to make the application smoother and improve the client’s overall experience: Incredible Retention Primer, Hydro-gel Under Eye Patches, and Lash Tape are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   Lash Mapping: Consider mixing D curls with softer curls like C or B curls, especially for clients with more complex eye shapes. Using D curls only on the outer corners or blending them with other curls can create a more balanced and flattering look. Ensure a Strong Bond: Since D curl lashes don’t have as much surface area to bond to, it’s important to focus on isolation and attachment. Make sure you’re working with clean lashes and a strong adhesive to maximize retention. Aftercare Education: Because of their dramatic shape, D curl lashes may require extra maintenance. Ensure your client knows how to properly care for their lashes, including gentle cleansing and avoiding oil-based products that could weaken the adhesive.   For more tips like this one be sure to subscribe to our email list, we send very informative and helpful emails every week, please click here.   Are D Curl Lashes Right for Your Client? Ultimately, D curl lashes can be a fantastic choice for clients looking to enhance their eyes with a bold, lifted effect. They are especially effective for those with straight or downward-growing lashes. However, careful consideration of the client’s natural lash direction and eye shape is crucial to ensure both comfort and optimal results. If your client is after a glamorous, eye-opening look, D curl lashes might be the perfect option. Just remember that this style may require more frequent maintenance and touch-ups due to its extreme curl and bonding challenges. For clients who prefer a more subtle or natural look, or those with upward-angled lashes, softer curls like B or C may be a better option.   Final Thoughts for Lash Artists As a lash artist, understanding the specific needs of each client is key to delivering beautiful, long-lasting results. D curl lashes are a valuable tool for creating high-impact lash sets, but they require careful consideration during both consultation and application. By tailoring your approach to each client’s natural lashes and desired look, you can create stunning, customized lash extensions that leave your clients feeling confident and beautiful.       Do you find this blog post helpful? Different Types Of Promade Volume Lash Fan

by Michelle Rebay on Jun 28 2022
Everybody is looking for the perfect lash. Some clients want to try something new, and others just look for more oomph in their lashes. Promade volume lash fan is an excellent product for lash artists. It is designed to help them work more efficiently and more effectively. They create volume to the lashes, making them appear fuller and thicker. There are many promade fans available in the market, but it is not easy for you to find the best products. Pro-made Loose Single Lashes, Bio Gel Eye Patches, Velour Lash Adhesive, Incredible Retention Primer are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   New to lash photo editing? We've got you covered with our Free Lash Editing Tutorial. Click here to learn more!     Many lash artists use this option to speed up the application procedure. They create their fans using the "crystallization" method, then store them for later use.  Are you searching for the best promade volume lash fans? This guide will help you to buy one or more! Pro-made Loose Mix Lashes, Bio Gel Eye Patches, Velour Lash Adhesive, Incredible Retention Primer, and Super Bonder are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   PROMADE FANS VS. PREMADE FANS: THE TRUTH UNVEILED BUT FIRST, let's clear up the confusion: Promade fans and premade fans are ACTUALLY THE SAME THINGS! When it comes to lash extensions, there are various techniques and tools available to achieve the desired look. One topic that often sparks confusion and debate is the difference between premade and promade volume fans. Many lash artist hold misconceptions about these two types of fans, assuming that they are manufactured differently. BUT we will debunk these myths and shed light on the truth behind premade and promade volume fans. Organized Pro-made Fans, Optite Low Humidity Adhesive, Super Bonder and Lash Wisps are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   Misconception: Premade Fans are Machine-Made, Promade Fans are Handmade Many believe that premade fans are machine-made and promade fans are handmade, but this is incorrect. Both premade and promade fans are created using handcrafted techniques by skilled lash professionals or manufacturers. Tools and craftsmanship are used to achieve a fanned-out appearance with precise separation, whether they are premade or promade. Misconception: Premade and Promade Fans Differ in Manufacturing Process Some think the manufacturing process differs between premade and promade fans. Fact: The techniques for making both are the same, involving manual craftsmanship and specialized tools. The only machine used is an oven for curling the lashes, ensuring both types of fans meet the same quality standards. Packaging and Presentation Differences The difference between premade and promade fans may lie in packaging and presentation. Premade fans might be marketed as strips, while promade fans are often sold as loose fans. Packaging does not affect the quality of the fans; the focus should be on the creation technique.   Manufacturing Techniques The lash industry is constantly evolving, and new techniques aim to improve the quality of lash extensions. Look for premade or promade fans with pinch slim bases, as this indicates the latest manufacturing advancements for a seamless, natural look.     For more tips like this one be sure to subscribe to our email list, we send very informative and helpful emails every week, please click here.   WHY CHOOSE PROMADE LASH FANS? Promade lashes are handmade. Some lash artists make this in advance for their client's sessions or create it as the client is getting their lashes done. Although making fans takes time, some choose to buy them from their favorite lash company. Pro-made Loose Single Lashes, Bio Gel Eye Patches, Velour Lash Adhesive, Incredible Retention Primer, Nude 90 Degree Isolation Lash Extension Tweezer, and Super Bonder are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   Choosing the best promade volume lash fans as a lash artist is not an easy task. There are so many types of promades available in the market. But choosing the right one is essential to increase your profit. The primary benefit of using it is increasing your number of clients, reducing hand tension, and you don't need to rush, depending on the lash artist's plan and which one will work best for her. Organized Pro-made Fans, Gel Under Eye Patches, Velour Lash Adhesive, Incredible Retention Primer, and Super Bonder are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   Benefits when using Promade Lash Fans The right promade fan can make you more efficient and effective as a lash artist. If they are prepared in advance, it can help you speed up the appointment. More appointments per day result from a high client turnover rate. The lash wrapping can be used because of the pointy bases with sharp edges, providing excellent lash retention. Volume training is unnecessary. The volume set offers a more significant gross margin than the classic set. Pro-made Fans, Straight Isolation Tweezer, Precision Volume 90 Degree Tweezer, and Gel Under Eye Patches are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   For more tips like this one be sure to subscribe to our email list, we send very informative and helpful emails every week, please click here.   VARIETY OF LASH FANS TO CHOOSE FROM The main goal of promade lashes is to make it easier for beginners and experienced lash artists to create beautiful lashes that are easy to apply and can also be customized to match client's needs and wants. Experienced lash artists create promade fans to help new lash artists have access to beautiful handmade fans. They provide new lash artists with quick assistance and act as a bridge as the artists develop their lash techniques. Organized Pro-made Fans, Hydro-gel Under Eye Patches, Collagen Lip Mask, Velour Lash Adhesive and Lash Glue Tile are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   PRO-MADE FANS SINGLE LENGTH To arrange the loose fans: Use a silicone pad (put them one by one). Take one fan at a time, coat it with adhesive, and place it on your client's natural lashes. For best retention, put it at the bottom or side of the natural lash.     PRO-MADE FANS MIX LENGTH  The least expensive way to practice various lengths is using mixed loose fans!     PRO-MADE ORGANIZED FANS Organized pro-made volume fans are a new product in the market that will cut the time you spend making fans in half.   PRO-MADE FANS XL BOXES Since they are handmade by lash artists, just like the loose promade fans, and are also perfectly arranged, just like the premade fans on a strip, they are the ideal blend of premade and pro-made lashes.   For more tips like this one be sure to subscribe to our email list, we send very informative and helpful emails every week, please click here.   LASH LENGTH AND DIAMETER MATTER A lash artist must select the correct lash thickness and size. Not choosing the right extension size could lead to discomfort and damage to a client's natural lashes and hinder proper lash growth. The length of the lash should match the natural lashes. Choosing a diameter that will create balance and reduce weight without decreasing the length is also essential. Gel Under Eye Patches, Eyelash Extension Ballet Slippers Tape, Pro-made Fans and Ultra Crystal Bond are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   I advise using boot tweezers when doing volume or working on lash fans. They have a wide sweet spot, making it simpler to pick up the extensions off the strip and hold them until you can attach them to the natural lashes. I recommend using promade fans if you are starting but running out of time since it will help your timing if you haven't mastered hand-making fans or if you're working on it while doing a volume lash set. Your lash sets don't take too long, and you may keep high prices. Pro-made Loose Single Lashes, Bio Gel Eye Patches, Velour Lash Adhesive, Incredible Retention Primer, Dolphin-Shaped Curved Tweezer, L Shape Tweezer and Super Bonder are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   TIP: Before attaching a fan to each lash, you must determine the extension diameter, length, and weight.   For more tips like this one be sure to subscribe to our email list, we send very informative and helpful emails every week, please click here.   LASH RETENTION WITH PROMADE LASH FANS The extension should be 1-2 mm away from the lash line for the best results. It is essential to keep the extension away from the lash line because placing it near the client's skin will create redness, irritation, and discomfort for your client. Make sure there is enough adhesive by slowly dipping your lash fan in it. Ensure enough surface area between the natural lash and the extensions to improve lash retention. Always use the wrapping technique to maximize lash retention while applying the lash fan from the side or underneath. Promade Fans, Straight Isolation Tweezer, Precision Volume 90 Degree Tweezer, Gel Under Eye Patches are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   To get our Lash Retention Checklist for FREE, please click here.   For more tips like this one be sure to subscribe to our email list, we send very informative and helpful emails every week, please click here.   CONCLUSION Finding the best promade volume lash fans is not impossible because there are wide varieties. Furthermore, you can find them at different prices for different qualities. Therefore, you must consider some essential factors and read online reviews to find the best one for your clients. Doing lash sets with clients can be efficient when using promade volume fans because you can save time and effort while achieving maximum results.   Do you find this blog post helpful? Are Mega Volume Lashes Damaging To Client's Natural Lashes

by Michelle Rebay on Jun 21 2022
Mega volume lashes are very popular with clients and the beauty industry. They are a huge trend in the industry and for a good reason! This technique allows your client to achieve full, visually striking lashes with a vibrant black shade. It can be achieved in different ways, and we recommend that you discuss options with your clients before starting the service. The mega volume lash extensions are a great way to get clients the look they want. However, if you are a lash artist that has a number of clients with naturally thin or sparse lashes, then you will want to take steps to avoid damaging those lashes during the lash extension process. Hydrogel Under Eye Patches, Lash Tape, Mega Volume Lashes, Straight Isolation Tweezer, Oblong Tweezer, and Elite High Humidity Adhesive are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   New to lash photo editing? We've got you covered with our Free Lash Editing Tutorial. Click here to learn more!   There is nothing more upsetting to a lash artist than the thought of their clients struggling with a case of lash loss or breakage. In this blog, I will address whether mega volume lashes damage natural lashes as performed by some lash artists on their clients. So, if you have been doing lash extensions for a while, it is time we get more advanced skills to keep up with the latest trends. Let us know your thoughts about this trend and how you react to it. When it comes to our clients, we want them to be happy with their lashes. It makes our job easier when they are. Promade Fans, Ultra Crystal Bond, Super Bonder, and Incredible Retention Primer are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   WHAT ARE MEGA VOLUME LASHES? This lash extension application technique creates noticeably fuller, darker, and voluminous lashes. This technique utilizes .03 and .05 extensions to make up a fan of 6-16 extensions. It is applied to the natural lashes that can support an extension, allowing your client to achieve full, vividly black lashes that are extremely lightweight in their overall feel. They go beyond volume, adding density, length, and thickness to create the most luxurious look. Volume Lashes mix curls D, CC, and C, and Velour Lash Adhesive are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   To improve the quality of your work, practice with a mannequin or someone who respects what you're trying to do. You don't want to get lazy and let mistakes start creeping in because you're making more money. A few things to keep in mind, one of which I find more important is that when making fans and dipping them in glue, you mustn't apply too much glue to the lash because wiping the glue off the fan or tapping it causes the adhesive to start to cure. This will make it impossible to remove any excess glue when placing it on your client's lashes, leaving her with clumps of hardened glue on her eyelid. Volume Lashes mix curls D, CC, and C, and Velour Lash Adhesive are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   If you don't have the proper tools and training, it can be very easy to damage the natural lash without knowing it. If you are not experienced with this type of service, I would recommend sticking with traditional volume lashes instead. This will allow you to focus on building up your skills so that when clients come in asking for something different, you will be confident giving it to them without causing any damage!   For more tips like this one be sure to subscribe to our email list, we send very informative and helpful emails every week, please click here.   HOW ARE THEY DIFFERENT FROM OTHER TYPES OF LASH EXTENSIONS? When it comes to lash extensions, there are a few different types. Classic lash extensions place one extension per natural eyelash, but that doesn't mean they're not lush or voluminous. Volume lash extensions allow two extensions per natural eyelash, which is how they get their name. Then there are mega volume lashes. With this technique, you can create an intense look with dramatic volume and richness. Mega Volume lash extensions are a more intense, dramatic option than classic, volume, or hybrid lash extensions. And since it requires more lash artist time than classic, they are typically more expensive. Hydrogel Under Eye Patches, Eyelash Extension Ballet Slippers Tape, Mega Volume Lashes, Straight Isolation Tweezer and Ultra Crystal Bond are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   For one thing, mega volume lashes require a lot of time to apply correctly. It's essential to take your time so that you don't damage your client's natural lashes or cause irritation by using too much product at once. This means you'll need to work slower than usual and ensure that each lash is applied correctly before moving on to the next (which might mean spending more time on each client).   For more tips like this one be sure to subscribe to our email list, we send very informative and helpful emails every week, please click here.   HOW LONG DO MEGA VOLUME LASHES LAST? We're so glad you asked! The answer is: it depends. How long the lashes will stay on depends on a few factors. First, it depends on how much your client shed their natural lashes. If they shed frequently, the extensions may last longer than if they don't shed as often. Second, it depends on how well they take care of their lashes. They want to avoid touching them with anything (like mascara) or pulling them out when they're wet or damp—that can cause damage and extend their shedding time. Finally, it depends on how much time between infills they have. If they wait more than 2-3 weeks to get an infill, the extensions may not last as long as they would if they were getting an infill every week or two weeks. Gel Under Eye Patches, Eyelash Extension Ballet Slippers Tape, Mega Volume Lashes, and Ultra Crystal Bond are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   The lash extensions will shed with the natural lashes, and they need an infill after 2-3 weeks to replace the ones they lost. As a lash artist, you want to ensure the lashes are full and look as good as they did when they initially had them done. To get our Lash Retention Checklist for FREE, please click here.   For more tips like this one be sure to subscribe to our email list, we send very informative and helpful emails every week, please click here.   WHO SHOULD GET MEGA VOLUME LASH EXTENSIONS? Several factors will influence the decision when choosing a particular type of eyelash extension. The most important factor to consider is your client's natural lashes. Mega volume is a technique developed to give your clients more volume and length than ever. So what does that mean for you? If you've got clients with beautiful, thick lashes already—and no damage—then mega volumes could be just what they need to take their look up a notch. If your client has strong and healthy lashes, they may be a good candidate for mega volume eyelash extensions.  They are not recommended for clients with fine or damaged natural lashes as this could damage the natural lash causing further stress over time. Promade Fans, Ultra Crystal Bond, Super Bonder, and Incredible Retention Primer are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   TIP:  If a client doesn't have healthy natural lashes, we recommend using a lash serum for 4 weeks to condition the natural lashes before applying the extensions.   For more tips like this one be sure to subscribe to our email list, we send very informative and helpful emails every week, please click here.   HOW TO CARE FOR MEGA VOLUME LASHES? The important thing is to keep them clean. When it comes to client retention and your professional reputation, effective aftercare is critical. Here are some helpful tips for protecting your investment. Gel Under Eye Patches, Eyelash Extension Ballet Slippers Tape, Mega Volume Lashes, and Elite High Humidity Adhesive are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   Do not rub or tug on them.  Keep the extensions dry for 4 to 6 hours after the appointment.  All oil-based products should be kept away from the eyes. The oil will cause the adhesive to break down, causing the extensions to fall out prematurely.  No lash perming allowed! Brushing your eyelashes every day is the best way to care for them. Brush them gently if you see anything amiss with them. Instead of trying to remove the extension yourself, schedule an appointment with your lash artist for maintenance so she can check for any problems and correct them immediately!   For more tips like this one be sure to subscribe to our email list, we send very informative and helpful emails every week, please click here.   A common condition can affect anyone at any age if someone is not cleaning their lashes properly. They may develop - Blepharitis!   Blepharitis develops when the small oil glands in the inner eyelid become inflamed. Symptoms include red, itchy eyelids that may appear oily and crusty. If they see a doctor, your client will likely diagnose with an infection. You should know that blepharitis causes many causes, including poor hygiene and irritation caused by contact lenses or eye makeup. The good news is several ways to prevent this condition from getting worse and keep your clients coming back for more lash extensions! They are big, bold, and dramatic and make clients feel like they can take on the world. Learning lash application takes time and practice. But once you make it through your learning curve and truly master the art of this service, mega volume lashes can be a very rewarding service to offer your clients. They are trendy among those who try them and provide exceptional results that you or your clients will love! Any lash extension can damage the natural lashes if applied incorrectly. I would say that there are some downfalls to this method, but nothing that can't be overcome with practice and skill.     Do you find this blog post helpful? Have you learned something? 4 Quick Tips For Solving Issues With Volume Eyelash Extensions

Figuring out the problem and implementing the solution is a cornerstone of any lash artist. It's only natural that you would want your business to thrive and continue improving. Lashes tend not to last as long as we'd like them to. It can be highly frustrating when you spend all that time on your clients' lashes, only for them to fall out or shed. Do you love working with volume lashes? Do you want to overcome problems when working with them? Here are the most common issues lash artists face with volume lashing and how to solve them. Promade Volume Fans, Glitter Galaxy Collection, Velour Lash Adhesive, Incredible Retention Primer, and Super Bonder are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   New to lash photo editing? We've got you covered with our Free Lash Editing Tutorial. Click here to learn more!   If you're a beginner, it's normal to feel nervous and overwhelmed. It's a lot of new information to take in at once! But don't worry – we're here to help!   NOT APPLYING THE APPROPRIATE LASH LENGTH There are many reasons why your client may not be satisfied with their volume eyelash extensions. One of the most common mistakes is when an artist uses the same length throughout their client's eyes. This creates a very unnatural look as it can be seen from a mile away! The size of your client's natural lashes will determine the length of the extensions you apply. For example, if you're working with someone with short lashes, you might want to go for a longer lash length and vice versa. Lashes, Ultra Crystal Bond, and Gel Under Eye Patches are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   Choosing the right lash length is essential to avoid damaging the client's natural lashes. The common rule is to go 2-3 mm from the client's natural lashes.  Furthermore, you should map out the client's lashes to ensure a smooth transition between all lengths. Using the same size throughout the eye is one of the most common blunders lash artists make. To get an excellent symmetrical and complementary mapping, you must use a variety of lengths. L Curl Lashes and Ultra Crystal Bond are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   It's also important to consider your client's eye shape when choosing the right lash length. For example, if your client has deep-set eyes, you may want to go a little longer than usual as you want them to sit on top of their eye socket instead of sitting just below it. Another thing that you need to be aware of is whether or not your client prefers a more natural or fuller look. If they like something more natural, you may want to use shorter lashes, but if they like something fuller, go longer!   For more tips like this one be sure to subscribe to our email list, we send very informative and helpful emails every week, please click here.    PROBLEM WITH LASH ADHESIVE Well-done lashes are a pleasure to look at, but what if they become a problem for your clients? Issues with lash adhesive can be costly and time-consuming for both the client and the business. It's one of the top reasons why clients discontinue their lash services. The first thing we need to do is choose the suitable glue for our clients. Many types of lash glues exist, but not all of them work well with every client. Lash adhesive's primary function is bonding extensions to the natural lash. However, lash technicians use many different glue types, each with unique features and benefits. In addition, the adhesive must be explicitly applied to ensure proper bonding occurs between extensions and natural lashes. Straight Isolation Tweezer, Hydro-gel Under Eye Patches, Eyelash Extension Ballet Slippers Tape, Lashes, Color Lashes, and Ultra Crystal Clear Bond are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   Understanding how the lash adhesive works and what causes this reaction in the client's eyes is essential. The most common problems associated with using lash adhesives include: Eyelid irritation Allergic reaction (contact dermatitis) Eyelash loss   Use the right amount of glue for each client's application needs. There are several ways to apply glue to lashes. The adhesive can irritate and burn the client's eyes if used incorrectly. This can result in boxy bases (when too much glue comes into contact with skin) and poor retention for your client's lashes. The amount of lash adhesive used is an essential factor in the success of a service. Too little adhesive can lead to premature detachment, while too much will make it challenging to apply fans and may result in smearing. Lashes, Disposable Eye Lash Brush and Optite Low Humidity Adhesive,  are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   A good rule of thumb for lashing is to apply as much adhesive as necessary for each fan, but no more than that. A good lash technician knows that their adhesive is just as important as their technique. After all, it's what keeps the lashes on! Little is more important than a quality product when it comes to lash adhesive. The adhesive must be strong enough to hold the lashes in place but flexible enough not to cause irritation or pain for your client.   For more tips like this one be sure to subscribe to our email list, we send very informative and helpful emails every week, please click here.   INCORRECT LASH PLACEMENT  Poor lash placement is one of the biggest reasons for poor retention. When clients come in for a volume full set or lash fill, they expect to have the same flawless lashes they had when they left the salon. But that isn't always the case. Poor lash placement is a common mistake in any lash service because it's hard to see the difference between natural lashes and extensions. For volume lashing, placement is critical. A significant reason for poor lash retention is incorrectly placing volume fans too close to the lash or too far away from the natural lash. If you place the fan too close to the natural lash, it will pull on it and cause damage. If you place it too far away, there won't be enough support for the fan, and it will fall out easily. A common mistake is not ensuring space between each fan so that they do not overlap each other while being placed on top of each other. Gel Under Eye Patches, Eyelash Extension Ballet Slippers Tape, Mega Volume Lashes, and Ultra Crystal Bond are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   There are two main reasons why poor lash placement occurs: Improper application technique: If you don't apply the extension properly, it will fall out. You may be using too much or not enough glue, which can cause lashes to fall off after a few days. Also, if your client has naturally sparse lashes, adding extra fans isn't make them look any fuller. Incorrectly placing volume fans too close to the lash or too far away from the natural lash. You must be very careful when placing fans at different lengths, so they are balanced across the entire lash line instead of focusing on one eye or area at a time. Lashes need to be placed in the right spot for optimal retention.   Why does this happen? It's a combination of poor placement and poor product selection. Poor lash placement can cause irritation, pain, and even infection if the glue gets into the client's eyes. It can also cause an uneven application of lashes. The other reason for poor lash placement is lack of experience. I recommend watching YouTube videos or taking an online course to learn the basics of volume lash application. It's easy to get nervous and make mistakes when you're just starting, but with practice, it will become second nature. Poor lash placement can also be caused by the insufficient time to apply your lashes. This happens when you rush through your appointments or don't have enough time between clients to clean up your workstation before the next client comes in. Hydro-gel Under Eye Patches, Eyelash Extension Ballet Slippers Tape, Mega Volume Lashes, and Elite High Humidity Adhesive are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   Make sure the lashes are close to the lash line and how to double-check that the bases are flush with the natural lash. This results in a neat lash line and guarantees that the lashes are securely attached. For example, if they're placed too far into the eye socket and close to the eyelid, they can be uncomfortable and irritate. If they're placed too far out on the lids and aren't flush with your natural lashes, they'll look fake and unnatural. If you notice that some of your fans are falling out after only a few days, there's a good chance that they were applied incorrectly.   To learn more about lash direction, please click here.   For more tips like this one be sure to subscribe to our email list, we send very informative and helpful emails every week, please click here.   OVERFILLED LASH LINE The solution is simple. Give your clients just enough lashes for their eyes to look great without weighing them down or making them look unnatural. Volume eyelash extensions should be applied evenly across the entire length of the lash line. The key to applying lash extensions is to ensure that each one is neat and straight on the eye. If any of your clients find their lashes crisscrossed, asymmetrical, or going in different directions, they may be suffering from over-twisting and flipping lashes. The lash line is an important part of a client's eyelashes look. If you are applying lash extensions and creating a new look for your clients, you want to make sure that their lash line looks flawless and beautiful. Gel Under Eye Patches, Eyelash Extension Ballet Slippers Tape, Mega Volume Lashes and Ultra Crystal Bond used in this set. To shop, please click here.   The most important thing to remember when applying lashes is that you should never rush. If you're in a hurry, your results will show it. The volume fans are not created correctly and can result in a messy, unprofessional look. When you're working with lash extensions, it's easy to feel overwhelmed. There are so many steps and techniques that are required to create beautiful lashes. The last thing you want is for your fans to look messy. Lashes, Velour Lash Adhesive and Gel Under Eye Patches used in this set. To shop, please click here.   If you feel your fans are messy or too heavy, it's likely because you're rushing through the application process. Taking your time will help ensure that your lashes are applied evenly, which will result in more natural-looking fans. Rushing also means that there's less time for the adhesive to set correctly, which can cause the lashes not to stick.   For more tips like this one be sure to subscribe to our email list, we send very informative and helpful emails every week, please click here.   CONCLUSION The lash industry is booming, and the demand for lash extensions has increased significantly. But it's not just about creating a beautiful set of lashes. You need to know some essential things before working on your client's lashes. The first thing is that you should be able to recognize if your client has the potential for lash extensions or not. Looking at their natural lashes is the best way to do this. It will not work out well for them if they have thin, short, or sparse lashes, especially if they want light volume or mega volume eyelash extensions. You should also check if they have sensitive eyes or allergies because this may affect how long their lashes can stay on their face without causing any discomfort or irritation.     Do you find this blog post helpful? 5 Lash Extension Styles You'll Want To Try

by Michelle Rebay on Jun 08 2022
You've set up your studio, and you want to provide the best lash services and products to your lovely clients. You need to think about the next thing, choosing the right lash extension styles for your eyelash service. So how will you do it? Lash extension is a perfect way to add glamour to anyone. They are also a great way to change the shape of the eyes and make them appear larger and more open. Whether you're a professional lash artist or a beginner looking for some tips on how to apply them, there are many different lash styles you can do. In this blog post, you will find out the different styles of lash extensions with pictures to better choose which one can suit your client's eye and face shape. Ultra Crystal Bond, Lashes and Lash Wisps is used in this set. To shop, please click here.       New to lash photo editing? We've got you covered with our Free Lash Editing Tutorial. Click here to learn more!         Are you ready to be the best lash artist? Good. Let's get started. The best lash extensions for clients will depend on their lash type, lifestyle, and style. If you understand what's important to your client, you can help enhance their look in the best possible way. When working with clients, you should take your time to discuss the style, length, and density options with them before you begin the process. It is essential to keep in mind that you do not want to make them look fake or overdone. Here are a few of the most trending lash styles:   1. CAT EYELASH EXTENSIONS If you're looking for a new look for your client, consider cat eyelashes. They are on-trend yet timeless at the same time. The application of cat eyelashes is similar to regular eyelash extensions. Only the extensions are placed in a way that they create a cat eye effect at the outer corner of the eye. To give the appearance of wide-set eyes, place the longest extensions on the outside edge of the natural lashes. This is a good option if your client has almond-shaped, close-set eyes.   If your client wants something more daring than wispy lashes, cat eye lashes might be what you need! These tapered extensions are longer on the outer corner and shorter in the inner corner to give a cat eye appearance that's all about drama! Cat eyelashes can also be customized with different lash lengths for each section so you can create an even more dramatic effect. Lashes and Ultra Crystal Clear Bond used in this set. To shop, please click here.   SUITABLE FOR: The cat eye is perfect for clients who want a more dramatic look since it extends the natural lash line. It's ideal for clients with smaller eyes because it makes them look bigger and brighter.   If your client has downturned eyes, cat eyelash extensions may be a good option for them. These styles can help lift the eyes and create a dramatic look.    While keeping the beauty of the client's eyes, the cat eye will give length to the eye and help balance it even further towards that ideal Almond shape. It will also open up the eye and make it appear larger.   NOT SUITABLE FOR:  Cat eyelash style should be avoided if the client wants long lengths because they will attract attention to their eyes.   To learn more about cat eyelashes, please click here.   For more tips like this one be sure to subscribe to our email list, we send very informative and helpful emails every week, please click here.   2. DOLL EYE EYELASH EXTENSIONS Do you have a client who wants to get pretty doll-like eyes without makeup? Then, doll eyelashes are what they need! This lash style will bring out the eyes and enhance them beautifully.   Apply the extensions in the same direction as the natural lashes will give fuller, longer-looking lashes while keeping the natural lash style. If your client has almond or upturned eyes, this mapping will work perfectly and look great on them. Shorter lashes are applied to the inner and outer corners, while longer lashes are applied to the center of the eye. This style is perfect for monolid, hooded, and almond-shaped eyes since it opens up the eye area and gives it a perfect look. Doll eye eyelash extensions are the best choice for clients who want to look dramatic but look more natural.   Promade Fans, Velour Lash Adhesive, Incredible Retention Primer and Super Bonder used in this set. To shop, please click here.   SUITABLE FOR: Doll eye lashes will make almond-shaped eyes appear more prominent, but if the eyes of your clients are close together, avoid this lash type as it may make the eyes appear too large.   If your client has a hooded or monolid eye shape, this style is ideal because it will keep their eyes looking lifted and open.    If your client has wide-set eyes, doll eye extensions make their eyes appear more prominent. NOT SUITABLE FOR: A doll eye map is meant to create a full dramatic lash look. Before recommending this style, it's essential to consider the client's eye shape and personal preferences.   Clients who prefer a more natural look may not like this style, as it can be rather dramatic and is better suited to those who prefer a fuller, more dramatic look, especially with volume and mega volume styles. With this style of lash map, a doll map classic placed in shorter lengths can still seem very natural.   If you have clients with round eyes, they are not a good fit for doll eye mapping since this map type can emphasize the roundness of their eyes.   Clients with highly closed eyes are not suitable since it can draw attention to their eyes. To learn more about the doll eye lash map, please click here.   For more tips like this one be sure to subscribe to our email list, we send very informative and helpful emails every week, please click here.   3. SQUIRREL EYELASH EXTENSIONS This is an excellent style for those with small eyes who want to maximize their fullness. To get this lash style, start with short lengths and gradually lengthen, with the most extended length at the halfway point, before gradually shortening again.       It's a great way to create a natural-looking lash line that still has plenty of length and volume. Promade Loose Fans, Colored Promade Fans, Velour Lash Adhesive, Super Bonder, and Incredible Retention Primer are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   SUITABLE FOR: Perfect for clients with close-set eyes, high brow arch, and outer corner lashes growing downwards.   Squirrel style lash look is suitable for clients with the longest lash length will be at the arch of the eyebrows. NOT SUITABLE FOR: This eyelash extension style is not recommended if the client has big or broad eyes. The style would only attract attention to the eye's flaws.    The client's natural lashes should be long and dense. NATURAL EYELASH EXTENSIONS Classic mapping is another term for natural eye mapping. This will match the client's natural lashes. This gentle length adjustment follows the natural lash growth without any drastic length changes. The second-longest length should begin at the pupil's center. The longest portion should be placed from the iris's outer edge to the brow's arch, with the outer and inner corners gradually decreasing in length.   This lash mapping can be used on various shapes and is excellent for new lash artists. It can be used with short to long lash lengths and is the most versatile mapping. Most lash curls can also be used with this mapping. For a more natural look, start with the B Curl. The lash extensions may appear unnatural if they are curlier than the natural lashes. Lashes and Velour Lash Adhesive used in this set. To shop, please click here.   SUITABLE FOR: Natural lash extensions are a great way to give your clients a more natural look.     NOT SUITABLE FOR: It is not recommended for clients who want a dramatic full look.   For example, if your client's lashes are about 15 mm in diameter if they have thick lashes. Do not use extensions like .18 mm and .20 mm. You will run into problems with these lashes because the weight of the extensions will pull down on the natural lashes and cause them to break off.   D and C curls are not appropriate for a natural lash style. Both lash curls are best for lifting or exaggerating your client's lashes. TIP: When doing natural lash style, black lashes are very common, but don't overlook brown lashes. Your client can be taken aback by how natural and sophisticated they appear. You can use 0.07 brown lashes for the base and 0.07 black lashes for the wisps for this wispy lash style.   To learn more about the secret to natural looking lash extensions, please click here.   For more tips like this one be sure to subscribe to our email list, we send very informative and helpful emails every week, please click here.   5. KIM K / WISPY LASH EXTENSIONS Kim K or wispy lashes is one of the most popular lash styles, which involves placing spikes or longer lengths in different eye sections to create a wispy set. This lash style is ideal for clients with both round and almond eyes. The best part about this lash style is that it looks great on any face shape and eye shape, but it's incredibly flattering on round and almond-shaped eyes and smaller faces because it gives the illusion of more length and width without making them look too big or fake.   Wispy lashes are an excellent option for an eye-catching look without going overboard with volume. Perfect for clients who want classic lashes to stand out more. Classic Lashes Wispy Lashes 0.15 C curl 8-15mm and Velour Lash Adhesive used in this set. To shop, please click here.   If your client wants something different to give their lashes that additional wow factor, a dramatic look with a hint of glitz, this style is for them! Wispy lashes are a fantastic effect that anyone can achieve. This is a great way to give the eyes an extra bit of drama without overdoing it. Simply mastering the skill of lash mapping is the key to achieving this wispy lashes effect. To get the wispy effect, you can use a variety of wispy lash mapping styles. It's a unique way of deciding which lash should go where.   Start by finding high spots where the spikes will be placed to map a wispy lash style. By doing this, you'll be able to see the look you desire from the beginning. We don't recommend utilizing the same length lashes for all of the spikey tips if your client doesn't have any special requests.  ( We have a complete online course that will teach you everything you need to know about wispy eyelash extensions. We've got you covered with our Free Lash Editing Tutorial. Click here to learn more!   I'm sure you've heard the saying, "You gotta spend money to make money." In the beauty industry, this has never been more true. You need to invest in the right tools and products to give your clients a great experience and make them want to return. But how do you get more clients on Instagram as a lash tech? I'll give you a short answer first. It's not hard. You have to have a quality feed, post frequently and engage with your followers. And that's it! The long answer is more complicated and takes time and consistency to achieve results. Here are some tips for growing your business on Instagram. First, let's start with the basics:   WHAT IS INSTAGRAM? It is an app that allows you to take pictures or videos and post them online for others to see (and hopefully like). You can also use it to promote your brand or business by posting photos of new products or promotions in your shop or studio.   For more tips like this one be sure to subscribe to our email list, we send very informative and helpful emails every week, please click here.   Here’s a comprehensive guide with practical examples and tips to help you maximize your Instagram potential. Perfect Your Profile First impressions count, and your Instagram profile is often the first interaction potential clients will have with your business. Username and Bio: Choose a clear and memorable username, preferably your business name. Your bio should succinctly convey who you are, what you do, and how clients can contact you. Include a call-to-action like “Book your appointment via DM!” Profile Picture: Use a logo or a professional headshot that represents your brand well. Link in Bio: Utilize this space for a link to your booking page, website, or a link tree to multiple resources like portfolios, promotions, or your other social media handles.   Showcase High-Quality Content Instagram is highly visual, and the quality of your posts can make or break your profile. Before and After Photos: Showcase your skills with high-quality before and after pictures of your lash work. Use consistent lighting and angles to professionalize your feed. Stories and Reels: Use Instagram Stories and Reels to show behind-the-scenes content, quick tutorials, or time-lapses of your lash applications. These formats are highly engaging and can help you appear more frequently in the Discover tab. Use Longer Content: Create longer videos explaining different lash styles, maintenance tips, or FAQs about lash extensions. This establishes your authority and educates potential clients.   Engage with Your Audience Building a community around your brand can turn followers into clients. Respond to Comments and DMs: Engage actively by responding to inquiries and comments on your posts. Personal interactions can significantly boost your relationship with potential clients. Interactive Stories: Use features like polls, Q&A sessions, and quizzes to interact with your followers. This not only keeps your audience engaged but also gives you insights into what they are interested in. Client Testimonials and Reviews: Share testimonials and reviews from your clients. Positive word-of-mouth is incredibly influential.   Use Hashtags Wisely Hashtags increase the reach of your posts, helping you to get discovered by potential clients. Relevant Hashtags: Use a mix of popular and niche hashtags related to lash extensions (e.g., #LashTech, #LashExtensions, #LashArtist). Research hashtags that are popular in your local area to target local clients (e.g., #LashesNYC). Create a Brand Hashtag: Encourage your clients to use a specific hashtag when they post about your services. This can help create a community around your brand and provide you with user-generated content to share.   Run Targeted Ads Instagram ads can be a direct way to reach potential clients who aren't already following you. Geo-targeting: Use targeted ads to reach potential clients in specific locations. Tailor your ads to showcase special offers or your best work. Promotions and Offers: Occasionally run promotions or introductory discounts and use Instagram ads to amplify your reach.   Collaborate and Network Collaborate with other local businesses or influencers in the beauty industry. Cross-Promotions: Team up with local beauty salons, spas, and makeup artists for cross-promotions. This can help you tap into each other's client bases. Influencer Collaborations: Partner with influencers who can showcase your lashes. Choose influencers whose followers align with your target demographic.   For more tips like this one be sure to subscribe to our email list, we send very informative and helpful emails every week, please click here.   CONCLUSION Getting clients on Instagram takes time and a lot of work, but you will gain more awareness of your business at the end of the day. Secrets That You Should Know About Cat Eyelashes

Cat eyelash extensions are a staple of the lash industry, and it is no surprise that they are so popular. These lash extensions can be applied to give your client a very natural look, or they can be used to create a dramatic cat eye. There are many different styles of cat lashes, so the lash artist needs to know how to apply them correctly to achieve the desired look. The process of applying cat eyelashes is similar to the way you would apply regular eyelash extensions. The only difference is that the extensions are placed in a way that creates the cat eye effect at the outer corner of the eye.  Wet Volume Lashes, Velour Lash Adhesive, Incredible Retention Primer, Super Bonder, Bullet Lash Adhesive are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   New to lash photo editing? We've got you covered with our Free Lash Editing Tutorial. Click here to learn more!   Cat eyelashes are a big trend in the beauty world right now. They are trendy because they make the client's eyes look more defined and dramatic (depending on if you are doing classic or volume cat lashes). Wet Volume Lashes, Velour Lash Adhesive, Incredible Retention Primer, Super Bonder, Bullet Lash Adhesive are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   WHAT IS CAT EYE LASH EXTENSIONS? Cat eyes are lashes that have a sharp angle at their tips. Sometimes, they are also called almond or tapered lashes because they get longer towards the outer corners of the eyes and shorter towards the inner corners – just like an almond! Some people call them baby doll lashes because they are very soft and look very natural while making the eyes look bigger than they are. Lashes and Ultra Crystal Clear Bond are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   Cat eyelashes are one of the most popular looks in the beauty industry. The cat eye extends the natural lash line, so it's great for clients who want a more dramatic look. It's ideal for clients with smaller eyes, making their eyes appear larger and brighter.   For more tips like this one be sure to subscribe to our email list, we send very informative and helpful emails every week, please click here.   WHAT EYE SHAPE IS THE BEST FOR CAT EYELASH EXTENSIONS? With round eyes, a cat eye or soft cat eye shape works best to give a more almond shape.   PRO TIP: Use a very light curl, such as a B or C curl or a J curl. Because the client's eyes are already so expressive, avoiding curls that make them appear even bigger and rounder is crucial. Avoid using long lengths on this eye shape because it will emphasize the client's round eyes. If you have a client with deep-set eyes, it will enhance or make them appear larger and less shadowy. Client with doll eye shape is also perfect for cat eyelashes.   PRO TIP: Deep-set eyes are an eye shape for most people. Their eyes appear larger and are positioned deeper in the eye socket, giving the impression of a higher brow bone. Many people with deep-set eyes wish to brighten their eyes or make them appear larger and less gloomy. To fully emphasize the client's eye shape and reduce shadowing, you can use strong curls like D, CC, and L + and M curls. The classic mapping and doll eye mapping are the best mapping options for this eye shape. The other mappings are equally acceptable, but in our experience, these work best.   For more tips like this one be sure to subscribe to our email list, we send very informative and helpful emails every week, please click here.   HOW DO YOU DO THE CAT EYE MAP? Cat eyelashes are created by combining lengths of lashes ranging from shortest to longest in the inner to center of the lash and gradually getting longer on the outer corner. Cat eye mapping has shorter lashes that gradually lengthen to long lashes on the corner of the eyes, which replicates the shape of winged eyeliner.   When applying cat eyelash extensions, you want to start at the inner corner of the client's eye and work your way out towards the outer corner.  This mapping gives the eyes a longer look and helps the face appear smaller. C and D curls are used to create a regular cat eye. L and L+ curls work well for a more intense cat-eye look. Up to seven different lengths are needed for the application. Lashes and Elite High Humidity Adhesive are used in this set. To shop, please click here.    Here's another example: To achieve this cat eye lash look, start with shorter lengths (5-6mm) in the inner corner, and gradually increase to longer lengths, up to 12mm, on the outer corner. This mapping is perfect for creating that winged cat eye effect because it makes the eyes look lifted and elongated. The curls used, like C and L curls, add to this effect by giving a natural lift and extra definition, especially at the outer corners. This combination of lengths and curls enhances the cat eye style, making it ideal for clients who want that flirty, elongated look. Lashes and Ultra Crystal Bond are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   For more tips like this one be sure to subscribe to our email list, we send very informative and helpful emails every week, please click here.   DIFFERENT TYPES OF CAT LASH STYLES There are two types of cat eye lashes extensions: classic and volume.  Lashes and Ultra Crystal Clear Bond are used in this set. To shop, please click here.   Classic cat lash extensions are used for clients with short and weak natural lashes in the classic process. 1 lash extension is applied to 1 natural lash. This type of cat eyelashes is ideal for clients who want to get classic, natural-looking results without wearing mascara every day.\   Volume cat lash extensions are perfect for clients who want to improve their look. Volume eyelashes are used more often since they create more density and a more expressive look. You can use 2D to 6D volume lashes (premade or promade/handmade fans). 1 lash fan is applied to 1 natural lash.   Here are some inspo for cat eyelashes you can recreate: Classic Cat Eye This image shows a lash map for cat eye lashes, where the lengths start short at 8mm in the inner corner and get longer towards the outer corner, up to 13mm, to create that pretty, winged look. These lashes' longer length and curvature make them perfect for clients who want to enhance their femininity without going overboard with makeup or other accessories. A beautiful, natural look that is entirely customizable to suit the client's eye shape and skin tone. If you're a lash artist, chances are you've been asked this question before: "Which shape of lash is best for my eyes?" There's no one right answer, but there are a few guidelines that can help you figure out which shape will work best for your clients. Close set eyes can be enhanced with cat and squirrel lash lashes. These styles give your client a natural look while adding volume and length to their lashes.Wide set eyes work well with dolly and squirrel lashes. This gives them a more dramatic look without being too overpowering.Protruding eyes should be enhanced with squirrel and cat lashes. The drama of these lash styles will balance out the protruding effect of the eye shape.Round eyes are best suited for squirrel and cat lashes. These styles are often more delicate and look best on square faces too!Monolid eyes can work well with either natural, squirrel, or dolly lashes. Both styles will enhance the eye shape, so it's up to you as the lash artist to decide which type of lash looks best with your client's facial features. For almond-shaped eyes, natural, squirrel, and dolly lashes all work well. Depending on how deep your client's eye sockets are, you might want to go with a fuller style like natural or squirrel lashes—or even a thick set of cat eyelashes! If your client has upturned eyes, you'll want to choose a lash style that will bring out the natural beauty of their eyes. Natural lash styles are great for this, as they look very natural and help to highlight the color and shape of the eye. Cat lashes are also a good choice, as they give a more dramatic look than natural ones but retain some of their softness. If you're working with clients with downturned eyes, you'll want to focus more on bringing out the shape of their eyes. Squirrel lashes are great for this, as they help to create a more dramatic appearance and give an illusion of depth in the eye socket—this can be helpful for clients with smaller eyes or dark skin tones. You can also use cat lashes to bring out this effect even further or dolly lashes if your client has larger eyes or lighter skin tones!   Here's how to tell which style will look best on your client's face: Let's start with the oval. Oval-shaped faces are very natural, so it's important to keep the look that way by going for a natural lash style like a squirrel. Squirrel lashes also add a lot of length and volume to your client's lashes, which is perfect for an oval face shape because it will make the eyes appear bigger and more open. If your client wants something more dramatic-looking, they should go with a dolly!Next up, we have hearts. Your client can choose between natural or squirrel. If they want something subtle but still noticeable, go with a squirrel!Round: Round face shapes are the most common face shape and are best suited for natural lash style. The round shape is wide at the cheekbones and narrows toward the chin. Round faces often have a full or rounded jawline and eyes that are close together. They can look like they have big eyes because the cheeks are so high. Lashes that are too long can make the eyes look smaller.Round faces with short eyelashes should try a more natural style like a dolly or soft curls to balance out their features. They should avoid lash styles that are too dramatic or have a lot of volume because they will make it harder for them to open their eyes wide enough!Square: Square face shapes are angular faces. They tend to be slim but have broad foreheads and narrow chins, making it hard for them to show off their features! Squares can pull off any style of lashes, but they would do well with a more dramatic style like the cat eye or squirrel! Spikes can also work on square faces because they draw attention back toward the eyes!Diamond-shaped faces are perfect for natural lashes. This shape is characterized by its sharp angle at the cheekbones, which means that a dolly lash style would look perfect on a diamond face. The dolly style has a slight curve in the middle, which makes it ideal for those with smaller eyes.Long faces are perfect for cat and squirrel lash styles. This face shape is characterized by having a longer length than width, so they should avoid styles with an elongated curl or length—this will make their eyes appear even longer! Instead, they should choose styles with more volume, or like cat or squirrel.   To learn more about lash mapping, please click here.   For more tips like this one be sure to subscribe to our email list, we send very informative and helpful emails every week, please click here.   CONCLUSION Cat eyelashes are a specific lash style that curls up toward the outer corner of the eyes, creating the illusion of a cat's eye. It is also called cateyes, cat eyes, or feline eyes. These extensions are often used as an alternative to wearing mascara and give a natural-looking effect that mimics the natural lashes but with added volume and length.  They are characterized by the natural curve that makes the eyes look bigger, bolder and sexier.     Do you find this blog post helpful?
